The workshop on Algorithmic Approaches for Transportation Modeling, Optimization, and Systems (ATMOS) is an annual event bringing together researchers and practitioners who are interested in all aspects of algorithmic methods and models for transportation optimization. It is part of the ALGO conference cluster, which also includes the European Symposium on Algorithms (ESA). This year's conference, the 16th ATMOS, took place at Aarhus in Denmark. The VOLAR group's paper on "Solving Time Dependent Shortest Path Problems on Airway Networks Using Super-Optimal Wind" won the best paper award.
Congratulations to the authors Marco Blanco, Ralf Borndörfer, Nam Dung Hoang, Adam Schienle, Thomas Schlechte, Anton Kaier, and Sven Schlobach, the latter two from the project's industrial partner Lufthansa Systems AG.
